Best Things To Do on Long Island This Weekend — July 25–26, 2026

July 25, 2026Rafi

If you are looking for things to do on Long Island this weekend, July 25–26 is stacked and none of it requires a bridge or a tunnel. Jones Beach has a headliner both nights, Bald Hill has a freestyle bill, The Paramount has a Saturday show, the polo field in Bridgehampton is having its biggest afternoon of the season, and Stony Brook has a free family day on Sunday. Everything below is happening on the island, from Wantagh out to the North Fork. Here is what is worth your Saturday, plus the honest parking and traffic picture for each one.

Muse, Bloc Party and The Temper Trap at Jones Beach — Wantagh

Saturday, July 25, 7 PM | Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, Wantagh

Muse brings the Wow! Signal North American Tour to Jones Beach on Saturday night with Bloc Party and The Temper Trap opening. This is a loud, big-production rock show in an amphitheater sitting on the water, and it is the kind of bill that pulls people from all over Nassau and Suffolk. Tickets have been moving since the spring.

Jones Beach has one problem and it never changes: there is a single causeway in and a single causeway out. The Wantagh State Parkway stacks up for a couple of hours before showtime, and when the last song ends, 15,000 people try to leave the barrier island through the same gap at the same moment. Getting dropped at the plaza means you walk in from the curb instead of the far end of Lot 4 in the dark, and your driver is already staged when the house lights come up. On a Saturday night in late July, that saves you the better part of an hour.

John Mellencamp at Jones Beach Theater — Wantagh

Sunday, July 26, 8 PM | Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, Wantagh

Jones Beach turns it around on Sunday for John Mellencamp's Dancing Worlds Tour, billed as the greatest hits run. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame catalog, an 8 PM start, ocean air. If you have a car full of people who grew up on "Small Town" and "Jack and Diane," this is an easy sell.

Sunday traffic on the Wantagh Parkway is gentler than Saturday, but the exit off the barrier island is the same single-lane funnel, and an 8 PM start means you are leaving close to 11 on a school-night-adjacent evening. Pair it with dinner in Wantagh or Massapequa beforehand and let someone else drive both legs, so nobody in the group is the designated driver counting drinks. We run Jones Beach nights all season and we time the pickup around how that lot actually empties, not how it looks on a map.

Polo Hamptons in Bridgehampton — Suffolk County, East End

Saturday, July 25, matches at 11 AM and 4 PM | 900 Lumber Lane, Bridgehampton

Polo Hamptons runs its second Saturday of the season in Bridgehampton, with an 11 AM match and a 4 PM match and cocktail party. Open bar, hors d'oeuvres, preferred seating, and a field full of people who dressed for it. Attendance caps around 900 guests per date and the door does not sell tickets, so if you are going, you already have them or you are buying online before you leave the house.

This one is the clearest car service case on the whole list. It is a Saturday in late July on the East End, which means the Sunrise Highway and the Montauk Highway are moving in fits and starts from Westhampton on out. Parking near the Lumber Lane field is limited and tightly managed. And an event built around an open bar in the afternoon is not a drive-yourself situation, especially not for the ride back west. We work the Hamptons all summer, we know which approach to Bridgehampton is moving at 3 PM, and we plan the return before you need it.

Freestyle Fest 2026 at Bald Hill — Farmingville

Saturday, July 25, 7 PM | Catholic Health Amphitheater at Bald Hill, Farmingville

Freestyle Fest lands at Bald Hill on Saturday with TKA, Shannon, Judy Torres and a full bill of Latin freestyle, dance-pop and R&B. This is a genuinely Long Island crowd, a lot of people who have been going to these shows for 30 years, and the amphitheater in Farmingville is the right size for it.

Bald Hill sits right off Nicolls Road and Exit 62 on the LIE, which is convenient on paper and less so when a full house arrives inside the same 45-minute window. The lot fills from the front and the exit onto Nicolls after the show is slow. If you are coming from Nassau or the North Shore, the ride out on the LIE on a summer Saturday evening is the part worth handing off. Drop at the gate, pickup at the gate, no lot to remember.

Get the Led Out at The Paramount — Huntington

Saturday, July 25, 8 PM | The Paramount, Huntington Village

Get the Led Out plays The Paramount on Saturday, recreating the Led Zeppelin studio records live rather than doing a straight tribute-band set. The Paramount is one of the best rooms on the island and Huntington Village around it is a full night out on its own.

Here is the thing about a Saturday night show in Huntington Village in July: New York Avenue and Wall Street are packed, the municipal lots off Main are full by 7, and you will spend 20 minutes circling and then walk six blocks anyway. Village parking is the whole reason this show is a car service call. Get dropped at the door on New York Avenue, have dinner on Wall Street first, and skip the lot hunt entirely. It is a short run from Dix Hills, Commack or Melville and it makes the night considerably less annoying.

Pirates and Mermaids Family Fun Day — Stony Brook

Sunday, July 26, 1–4 PM | The Long Island Museum, 1200 Route 25A, Stony Brook

The Long Island Museum hosts a free Pirates and Mermaids Family Fun Day on Sunday afternoon, with an interactive stage show, games, crafts, and the galleries open. No registration, costumes encouraged, and the museum is asking visitors to bring a non-perishable food donation for Agape Meals for Kids. If you have kids under 10, this is the easiest yes on the list.

Route 25A through Stony Brook and Setauket is two lanes and slow on a summer Sunday, and the museum lot is modest for a free event with a 1 PM start. This one is less about traffic and more about the day: if you are making a full Sunday of it with the museum, lunch in Stony Brook Village and the harbor, a car means you park once, which is to say never.

Also on out east this weekend

The North Fork has two indoor shows running both days if the weather turns. The Old Town Arts and Craft Guild's Fine Art, Crafts and Antiques Fair is at the Southold Historical Museum on Main Road, Saturday and Sunday, 9 AM to 5 PM. The Gem, Mineral, Jewelry and Fossil Show is at Mattituck High School both days, 10 AM to 5 PM, with geode cracking and a scavenger hunt for the kids. Either pairs naturally with a run up the wine trail, which is the other thing to say about a late-July weekend on the North Fork: the tasting rooms are at peak season, somebody has to stay dry, and Route 25 and Sound Avenue after a few tastings is not the place to test that. Booking the day is the single most common summer call we get, and for good reason.

One Call Covers the Whole Weekend

Muse or Mellencamp at Jones Beach, polo in Bridgehampton, Freestyle Fest at Bald Hill, The Paramount in Huntington, a free Sunday in Stony Brook, or a day on the North Fork. Different corners of the island, same underlying problem. The event is never the hard part. The causeway, the village lot, the Montauk Highway at 4 PM on a Saturday in July, and the drive home after an open bar are where a good Long Island weekend turns into a bad one.

We have been running these roads for 20 years, from the Wantagh Parkway to Huntington Village to the East End, and we plan the drop and the pickup around how each place actually fills and empties. We cover all of Nassau and Suffolk, the Hamptons, and the North Fork, and if the weekend also involves a flight we handle the JFK and LGA runs too. See our Long Island car service details, or request a quote and we will take it from there. The car will be there.
