Best Things To Do on Long Island This Weekend — June 27–28, 2026

June 27, 2026Rafi

The first full weekend of summer on Long Island is a loaded one. The Palm Tree Music Festival takes over Shinnecock territory in Southampton on Saturday, Jones Beach has a national headliner both nights, the Greek festival in Blue Point runs all weekend, the Ducks are home in Central Islip, and the North Fork tasting rooms are in full summer swing. Everything below is happening right here on the island, so here is what to plan around with the parking and traffic reality for each.

Palm Tree Music Festival — Shinnecock Reservation, Southampton

Saturday, June 27, gates 3:00 PM | Shinnecock territory, Montauk Highway, Southampton

Kygo's Palm Tree Music Festival returns to the Hamptons for its sixth year on Saturday, with the Palm Tree Crew co-founder headlining alongside The Chainsmokers and Disco Lines. As many as 10,000 people are expected on the Shinnecock Nation's 800-acre territory on the western edge of Southampton Village, gates open at 3 PM and the music runs until about 11 PM. Tickets are sold out.

This is the single biggest East End draw of the weekend, and it lands on a summer Saturday when Montauk Highway through Southampton is already at its worst. Ten thousand people arriving in the afternoon and leaving all at once near midnight, on a two-lane stretch with limited on-site parking, is exactly the kind of night that turns into a long crawl home. A scheduled drop near the entrance and a set pickup after the last set means nobody in your group is the designated driver, and nobody is inching down Montauk Highway at 11:30 looking for the car. For a Hamptons night like this, that is the whole difference. See our Hamptons car service details for how we handle East End runs.

Godsmack at Jones Beach — Wantagh

Saturday, June 27, 7:00 PM | Northwell at Jones Beach Theater, Wantagh

Godsmack brings the Rise of Rock World Tour to the Northwell at Jones Beach Theater on Saturday night, with Stone Temple Pilots and Dorothy on the bill. It is a stacked rock lineup at the best outdoor venue on the island, the amphitheater sitting right on the water in Jones Beach State Park with the sun going down over the bay behind the stage.

Jones Beach parking is the catch every regular already knows. The lot is enormous, but the single causeway in and out of the park backs up hard before the show and turns into one long line of brake lights afterward, with everyone leaving at once onto the Meadowbrook and Wantagh Parkways. A drop at the venue gate and a pickup after the encore means you walk straight in and skip the worst of the parkway crush on the way out. For a group coming in from Nassau or western Suffolk, one car beats three people circling the lot.

Jack Johnson at Jones Beach — Wantagh

Sunday, June 28, 7:30 PM | Northwell at Jones Beach Theater, Wantagh

Jones Beach goes from hard rock Saturday to mellow Sunday when Jack Johnson plays the SURFILMUSIC Tour with Hermanos Gutierrez opening. It is the perfect Sunday-night-on-the-water show, the kind of easygoing set the venue was built for, and it makes for a two-night weekend if you want both.

Same Jones Beach reality applies. A Sunday show empties onto the same single causeway, and a relaxed beach evening can still end with forty minutes of parkway taillights if you parked in the back of the lot. A drop at the gate keeps the easy mood going right through the ride home, which on a Sunday before a work week is worth more than it sounds.

OPA Fest — Greek Festival, Blue Point

Saturday, June 27, 12–10 PM + Sunday, June 28, 12–8 PM | St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, 77 Montauk Highway, Blue Point

OPA Fest at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church in Blue Point runs both days this weekend with authentic Greek food, live music, and family-friendly fun. Gyros, souvlaki, fresh pastries, and the kind of community festival energy that fills a South Shore weekend. It is free to walk in, and it pulls a steady crowd across both afternoons.

Blue Point is right off Montauk Highway in Suffolk, an easy drive from most of the island, but the church grounds and the streets around them fill up fast on a festival weekend. For a family making the run, a drop at the entrance skips the search for a spot on a packed side street in the June heat and gets everyone to the food before the lines build.

Long Island Ducks vs. York Revolution — Central Islip

Saturday, June 27, 6:35 PM | Fairfield Properties Ballpark, Central Islip

The Ducks are home Saturday night against the York Revolution, the easy family pick of the weekend. Affordable minor-league baseball, a summer evening at the ballpark, and a setup that works for every age in the family from the grandparents to the kids.

Fairfield Properties Ballpark sits right off the Southern State and Sunrise Highway in Central Islip, and the on-site parking handles most nights fine. A Saturday in late June is one of the busier dates, and the lot empties slowly after the last out. For a multi-generation group, one car dropped at the gate beats coordinating two or three vehicles, and nobody has to be the one waiting in the lot line afterward.

North Fork Wine Country — Cutchogue & Southold

Saturday & Sunday, June 28 | North Fork wine trail

The North Fork is in full summer rhythm this weekend. Sannino Vineyard in Cutchogue has Perfect Strangers playing live from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, and Coffee Pot Cellars in Southold is running Sunday tastings hosted by winemaker Adam Suprenant. A slow afternoon moving between a couple of tasting rooms with live music is one of the best ways to spend a June Sunday on the island.

The wine trail has one problem built into it, and it is the obvious one. The whole point is to taste at more than one stop, which means somebody has to drive between them and stay dry, and Route 25 and the back roads out east are not where you want to be guessing on that. A car service for a North Fork day means everyone in the group actually gets to enjoy the wineries, the driving is handled, and the ride home after a full afternoon in the sun is somebody else's job. It is the single best use case we run all summer.

One Call Handles the Whole Weekend

Whether it is a sold-out night at Shinnecock, a show at Jones Beach, the Greek festival in Blue Point, a Ducks game, or a day on the North Fork wine trail, the common thread is the same: the event is the easy part, and getting there and back is where the weekend goes sideways. We have run these roads for 20 years, from the Montauk Highway crawl out east to the Jones Beach causeway, and we plan the pickup and drop around the way each venue actually empties.

We cover all of Nassau and Suffolk, the Hamptons, and the North Fork, and we also handle the JFK and LGA runs if your weekend includes a flight. Request a quote and we will take care of the rest. The car will be there.
