Shakira at Barclays Center July 2026: Long Island Car Service for Both Brooklyn Nights

June 30, 2026Rafi

If you're looking for a car service to Barclays Center for Shakira, here's the honest version from someone who runs the route. Shakira brings the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour to Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Monday July 20 and Tuesday July 21, 2026, both shows at 8:30 PM. A Long Island car service is the one part of this night that should be simple, and getting from Nassau or Suffolk to Atlantic Avenue and back on a weeknight is exactly the kind of trip you don't want to drive yourself. Here's why, and how we handle it.

The Shows

Shakira: Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour

  • Dates: Monday July 20 and Tuesday July 21, 2026
  • Show time: 8:30 PM, doors around 7:30 PM
  • Venue: Barclays Center, 620 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217

The July 21 date wasn't on the original schedule. It got added after the first night sold so fast the promoter put a second one on sale. That tells you everything about demand for these two nights. The Brooklyn run is part of a 13-show U.S. summer leg, and this tour has already done numbers that are hard to wrap your head around: over $421 million grossed, 3.3 million people through the doors, and a Guinness World Record for the highest-grossing Latin tour ever. The Madrid run alone moved more than 500,000 tickets in a matter of hours.

So if you have a ticket to either night, you're one of roughly 19,000 people walking into that building, on a Monday or a Tuesday, with most of the crowd arriving and leaving inside the same tight window.

The Weeknight Problem Nobody Plans For

Both shows land on a work night. That's the detail that catches Long Island fans off guard.

A Saturday concert is forgiving. You leave early, you sleep in the next day. A Monday or Tuesday show at 8:30 PM means you're fighting the tail end of the evening commute on the way in and then exiting Brooklyn well after 11 PM with work in the morning. The drive from central Long Island into Brooklyn runs straight through the worst of it. The LIE (495) westbound in the early evening, then the handoff onto the BQE, which has its own reputation and earns it nightly. You don't want to be the one driving that stretch and then turning around to do it again at midnight.

When you're in the back seat instead, the weeknight timing stops being your problem. We watch the traffic, we pick the departure window, and you spend the ride getting ready for the show instead of white-knuckling the BQE.

The Barclays Center Problem

Barclays Center sits right at the Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue crossroads, one of the busiest intersections in Brooklyn. It's a major transit hub, which is wonderful if you live a few subway stops away. It does nothing for you if you're coming from Melville, Massapequa, or Huntington.

Here's what that intersection does to a car on a show night:

  • There's no real on-site parking. What exists nearby is limited, expensive, and gone early.
  • Street parking around Atlantic and Flatbush is a losing game by 7 PM with a sold-out arena loading in.
  • Post-show egress is slow and stays slow. When 19,000 people let out at once into that intersection, the streets seize up and don't loosen for a good while after the encore.

So driving yourself leaves you two bad options. Pay a premium for a third-party garage blocks away and walk back to it in the dark, or park somewhere far off and sit in the same gridlock anyway. Neither is the way you want a Shakira night to end.

Why a Car Service Is the Right Call for This Show

Shakira draws a specific kind of crowd, and it's a crowd that travels in groups. Sisters, cousins, mothers and daughters, friend groups who bought tickets together months ago. People dress up for this one. Nobody in that group wants to be the designated driver, and nobody wants to split into three separate rideshares that show up at three different times.

One car solves all of it. Everyone leaves Long Island together, everyone arrives at the door together, and everyone gets home together. No one is the sober one watching the clock. No one is checking a surge price at 11:15 PM while 19,000 people flood the same few blocks looking for a ride at the exact same moment.

That last point is the one people underestimate. The minute the show ends, every rideshare app in a half-mile radius spikes, cars get scarce, and pickup zones around Barclays turn into chaos. Your chauffeur is already there, already parked at a spot we've worked out in advance, waiting for you. You walk out, you get in, you go home. That's the whole pitch.

How We Run the Brooklyn Trip

We've done this drive plenty. Here's roughly how a Shakira night looks with us.

  • Pickup anywhere on the Island. Nassau or Suffolk, your door, at a time we set together based on the weeknight traffic.
  • One clean ride in. We take the LIE and BQE knowing the chokepoints, and we leave a real buffer so an 8:30 start is never in doubt.
  • A planned drop-off near the arena, not a guess. We know which streets move and which ones don't around Atlantic and Flatbush.
  • A set pickup plan for after. Your driver knows exactly where to be when the lights come up, so you're not standing on a corner in the cold sorting it out.
  • The ride home while you wind down. No parking ticket, no garage hunt, no second round of the BQE in your own hands.

If your group is bigger than a sedan, we have SUVs and larger vehicles, so a party of six or eight stays in one car instead of caravanning into Brooklyn.

Book Early for These Two Nights

Two arena shows on back-to-back weeknights pull a lot of cars off the road for the same hours. The second night was added because the first sold out, which means demand for both is real and the good pickup windows go first. If you already have your ticket, the ride is the next thing to lock in.

For more on how we cover concerts, airports, and nights out across Nassau and Suffolk, see our Long Island car service page. Rafi handles the scheduling personally, so when you book, a real person knows your pickup town and your show date.

You got the ticket to one of the hottest tours on the planet. Don't let the drive into Brooklyn be the part that goes wrong.
