US Open Finals Weekend: The Biggest Two Days in Queens, Done Right

The 2026 US Open comes down to the weekend of September 12 and 13 at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The women's final on Saturday, the men's final on Sunday, and the two most concentrated days of wealth, celebrity, and corporate hospitality that Queens sees all year. If you are holding finals tickets, you have already solved the hard problem. What is left is a Saturday or Sunday trip from Long Island into the busiest 46 acres in New York, and back.

Our full US Open guide covers the tournament logistics from the beginning; this is the finals-specific version.

What Finals Weekend Actually Is

Arthur Ashe seats about 23,000, and finals weekend fills every one of them with the tournament's most committed crowd. Face value on a men's final seat has run near $686 with resale reported into five figures. The champions each walk away with $5.5 million from a record $108 million purse, the largest in tennis history. Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka arrived as the defending champions, and whether either is still standing by the 12th, the last two sessions of a Grand Slam sell out and show up regardless.

Two things follow from that. First, this crowd does not take the 7 train home. The black-car and chauffeur volume on finals weekend is the heaviest of the entire tournament, which makes the staging rules matter more, not less. Second, everything books out: the suites, the restaurants in Manhattan afterward, and the cars. Finals transportation arranged the week of is a compromise. Arranged today, it is a plan.

The One Drop Point, Under Maximum Load

Every rideshare and black car serving the tennis center gets the same single drop and pickup area: the parking lot within the NY Hall of Science, with a direct walking path to the Champions' Entry. On a Tuesday in week one that is an inconvenience. On finals Sunday it is a bottleneck handling its highest volume of the year. Our US Open hourly service page has the map link and the full plan for it.

The difference between operators shows up in exactly two moments. Arrival: a chauffeur who works this venue drops you at the right spot on the first pass, no circling, no phone call. Exit: he staged nearby before match point, you text as the trophy ceremony starts, and you are moving while the rideshare crowd in the lot is still watching surge pricing climb. After a men's final, tens of thousands of people request cars inside the same fifteen minutes. You do not want to be one of them.

Sunday, September 13 Is a Two-Event Day

Circle this: the men's final shares its Sunday with the Giants season opener against the Cowboys at MetLife, an 8:20 pm Sunday Night Football kickoff. Two of the biggest sporting events of the New York year, same day, opposite sides of the city, both pulling heavily from Long Island.

For the roads, that means the westbound flow out of Nassau runs hot from midday straight through the evening: tennis traffic to the Grand Central corridor in the afternoon, football traffic toward the bridges after it. If your house is sending people to both events, treat it as one transportation day with two moving parts. We run exactly that kind of Sunday all the time, and it works when it is booked as a package instead of two afterthoughts.

Getting There from Nassau and Suffolk

The finals run is the same corridor as the rest of the tournament: LIE west to the Grand Central Parkway, Northern Boulevard as the pressure valve when the GCP backs up at the Whitestone interchange. Parking is $40 in every zone with a 45 to 60 minute lot exit at the end, and by the finals you should assume heavy NYPD direction around the park either way.

For a finals session, we recommend hourly service over point-to-point without much debate. A final can be a 65-minute rout or a five-set epic, and an hourly booking means the car and chauffeur are committed to your day, not to a pickup window that tennis refuses to respect. For groups making a full day of it, one Sprinter van moves six to fourteen people door to door with nobody separated from the group at midnight in Queens.

The Client Entertainment Weekend of the Year

If your firm entertains at the Open, the finals are the marquee. The suites at Ashe on finals weekend host the year's most senior guest lists, and the transportation is part of the hospitality, not an accessory to it. Door pickup at the client's home in Garden City or their hotel in Midtown, one vehicle for the party, a chauffeur holding through the match, and a clean exit while the lots are still gridlocked. That is the standard our corporate service is built to, and September's calendar, with UN General Assembly week starting right after, makes this the busiest client-facing stretch of the fall.

Guests flying in for the weekend land ten minutes from the venue at LaGuardia or half an hour away at JFK. We track the flights and fold the airport legs into the same arrangement; our JFK car service covers that side.

Book It Before the Draw Decides for You

By Thursday of finals week, everyone with a semifinal result they like starts calling around for weekend cars, and finals-weekend capacity goes with them. The people who watched the final from a suite and were home in Dix Hills by the late news booked before the semifinals were played.

Request a quote for Saturday the 12th or Sunday the 13th, tell us your session, and the car will be there when the last point ends, however long that takes.
